Droplette is revolutionizing drug delivery: we are building a disruptive needle-free platform technology with groundbreaking applications in cosmetics, gene delivery, and healthcare.

In support of our mission, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You will be the first member of our software engineering team that will develop digital experiences to transform ideas into products that form delightful human connections. You will build and support the technologies that power the digital side of our business, from our customer facing website to our companion app to order fulfillment.

We are looking for a highly technical developer and a thoughtful, aspiring people manager who will work closely with Digital Product, Hardware, and Marketing teams to create and ship scalable product experiences. What you’ll do:
  • Plan, strategize, execute, and own overall success of complex technical projects including development of a companion app for the Droplette technology
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to design and develop customer facing digital experiences, APIs, and backend systems
  • Recruiting and career development of team members
  • Be a technical leader and contributor to projects, including coding, code reviews, and architectural discussions
  • Help iterate on our software development and agile processes
  • Assist in building & managing a team of software engineers (many of whom may be remote)

What We Seek:
  • 5+ years of experience developing and deploying advanced web based applications and services into staging and production environments
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Firm understanding of Software Development Life Cycle methodology
  • Experience in building, testing, debugging, and delivering iOS apps in a professional environment.
  • Extensive full stack experience with languages such as Ruby on Rails and Javascript (node, React, Backbone)
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, Heroku, or similar IaaS or PaaS providers
  • Familiarity and experience with Shopify
