Equifax is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and talented Full Stack Ruby on Rails Developer and well rounded IT generalist with hands-on development skills to join a small and diverse development team.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software

  • Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and work you're doing

  • Collaborate on architecture and design decisions at project and system level

  • Ship thoroughly tested software following best practices

  • Participate in cross-team collaborations with other engineering teams, product owners, and business partners

  • Write very high quality code that is robust and easy to maintain

  • Debug, diagnose, and trouble-shoot complex, production software

What experience you need
  • BS or MS degree in a STEM major, graduate of a Development Bootcamp or equivalent job experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Software Development

  • 3+ years’ experience in full stack Ruby on Rails and React

  • Experience with Cloud Platforms like GCP or AWS and deploying applications using Docker and Jenkins.

  • 3+ years of experience working in an agile development environment

  • Demonstrated sharp analytical abilities, and proven design skills

  • Detailed knowledge of modern software development lifecycles including CI / CD

  • 3 + years of experience working across a broad and complex business unit with multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members at various levels, including business leaders

What could set you apart

  • Source code control management systems (e.g. Git, SVN, Subversion) and build tools like Docker

  • Relational databases (e.g. Postgres, mySQL, Oracle)

  • Agile environments (e.g. Scrum, XP)

  • Software development best practices such as automated testing (RSpec, Minitest) and continuous integration (e.g. Jenkins)

  • Linux command line and shell scripting languages

  • Atlassian tooling (e.g. JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket)

  • Automated Testing: Rspec, Minitest, Jest and React Testing Library

  • Experience in overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance

  • Have a real passion for actively learning and researching new methods of work and new technology
