Nemedio is reinventing the way that medical devices are brought to market. We provide software, hardware and quality tools that companies can use as a foundation to jumpstart their advanced medical device development process. We also provide engineering and regulatory support to customers to help create their device, and to integrate with our tool suite.

As a Senior Software engineer at Nemedio you will join an experienced team tasked with tackling a wide range of problems. Senior engineers will take more of a hands-on role in leading the charge on large projects, setting technical standards and helping develop the team. You will operate across the entire product, interact with each functional arm of the company and be able to provide a significant impact to a growing company across the board.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, develop and test across our React, GraphQL, Rails and Postgres stack technical changes across the the stack
  • Set technical standards for our applications and development team
  • Identify and help prioritize engineering initiatives to help us grow and scale properly
  • Work side by side with design and product teams to ensure the right implementation is put into place
  • Operate in a team environment that values collaboration and growth through code reviews, mentorship and communication
  • Interface with business stakeholders to help merge our processes with medical industry best practices to make our teams most efficient
  • Mentor and coach other team members
  • Be a force for ensuring engineering best practices
  • Always be striving to learn and grow while helping the team approach new challenges in the best way possible

Qualifications:
  • Interest in medical devices, robotics, and physical device design
  • 5+ years of development experience
  • Experience with full stack web application and working across each layer (frontend, backend, database)
  • Expert level of proficiency in Ruby on Rails or equivalent OO framework
  • Production level working experience with modern front end technologies (React, Angular, Ember)
  • Experience working with standard API technologies (REST, GraphQL) and has an understanding of their applications and pitfalls
  • Has a testing mindset and views testing as a required practice in the SDLC
  • Knowledge of web security best practices and how they relate to web applications
  • Experience working in an agile environment
